Smoked Salmon Wrap

This is easy and simply delicious!

I still had some leftover tortilla's, sour cream, a lime and spring onion and decided that these ingredients, combined with smoked salmon, would make an excellent wrap!

Needed (for 1 person):

  • 1 tortilla
  • 1 slice of smoked salmon
  • a small bit of cucumber (like 1/8)
  • handful of diced spring onions
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp cream cheese
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • fresh herbs to taste: e.g. chives, dill,...
  1. Mix the sour cream with lime juice (to taste, you can add more or less lime juice ofcourse) and cream cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper and the fresh herbs.
  2. Slice the cucumber into thin slices (you can do this lenghtwise or just rounds, I prefer the latter). It has to be thin though, else you won't be able to roll up the tortilla. If you really want thick slices, you could just fold the tortilla ofcourse. But then it won't be a wrap!
  3. Spread the sour cream mixture onto the tortilla.
  4. Cover with salmon and then spread the cucumber slices and spring onions.
Don't mind the not-so circular tortilla. This one's a homemade one and I'm not so good at rolling out the dough :)

    5.  Roll up the tortilla (or fold) and enjoy!

This is a great lunch on a hot, sunny day!

TV-shows

TV-shows are simply amazing!
Why you ask? Most importantly because they're split up into episodes which usually last around 20 to 50 minutes, in contrast with movies which usually last around 1,5 or 2 hours. After an hour I'm starting to get bored, you know. Unless it's a really great movie, but they're not a lot of those.

The shows I watch can be divided into three categories.
The first one consists of series that can really keep me interested. Shows like True Blood, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones (my fav at the moment), The Big Bang Theory, The Wire, Firefly, Spartacus,... You catch my drift.

The second category are series I watch while surfing the internet or at the gym (cycling while watching a comedy show = win!) These are shows like Two and a half men, Cougar Town, How I met your Mother. Stuff you don't have to pay a lot of attention to to be able to follow, but that are fun to watch.

The third category are a mix of cooking and fun/reality! I watch these shows because they teach me more about baking and cooking, and because they're fun to watch (obviously). My favorites are Top Chef, Cupcake Wars, Ace of Cakes and Top Chef Just Desserts. You see how the chefs in the show cook/bake things and indirectly, you pick up a lot of tips and tricks, recipes and inspiration. Can't go wrong with that now can you!

Furthermore, there are still a bunch of shows on my to-do list. Amongst others Deadwood, The Shield, The Sopranos, The Walking Dead, Merlin,...

Which tv-shows do you guys like to watch? Or which ones do you still wanna see? I'd love to hear your favorites!

Welcome

Hi there and welcome at my blog!

The more I read other blogs with recipes, advice, reviews,... about baking and cooking, the more I wanted to start a blog of my own. Now I've finally had the guts to do it!
I simply love baking and cooking and want to share all my knowledge, recipes I like and tips and tricks I read on other pages. On top of that, I would also like to share stuff about other favorite hobbies of mine, such as watching tv-shows and reading books.

Have fun here at my blog and don't forget to leave a message!
